Ronald McDonald House is committed to keeping families close. Their goal is to help families with critically ill or injured children stay close to their families and close to care and resources they need, when they need it most. Ronald McDonald House provides a place of refuge during these difficult times so that family members can direct their focus to taking care of their child.
The Ronald McDonald House is more than just a place to stay; it is a community of support and hope. It is a place where families can rally around and support one another. They can talk to other families who are facing similar challenges and really do understand exactly what they’re going through.

The Challenge
Doextra and RMH worked together to use Salesforce to best serve the 450 families who stay at the house annually while children receive treatment at area hospitals. Prior to Salesforce, RMH was reliant on paper documents and manual data entry.

The Solution

They were looking for a one stop, all-encompassing database. Their needs were; tracking donor gifts, event tracking of donors and attendees at each of the events, and a guest tracking system for both of their locations.

Doextra also partnered with Holmes Murphy on a new Captive Management/Processing platform with a custom developed Calculation Engine and a fully customizable lightning component that allows for more robust related lists.

The Outcome
Doextra built a custom Salesforce solution using the cloud platform to transform their operation from a donor database to a custom occupancy management solution that allows them to track accommodation details that include timeframes of stay, guest check in, payments affixed, a photo of the guest, and special details like guest diagnosis. Thanks to the solution, RMH is almost 100% paper free, utilizes Salesforce for most of their day-to-day job functions, and has saved leadership about 100 man-hours annually of repetitive data entry and report pulling.
